Our Intent for This Strand
Our animal and horse care curriculum is designed to do more than develop practical knowledge and technical competence — it helps learners grow as confident, capable and responsible individuals. Through hands-on learning, learners develop essential animal-care skills alongside communication, teamwork, problem-solving, organisation, resilience and empathy.
Working with animals and horses encourages patience, responsibility, self-discipline and attention to detail, while also building confidence, independence and a strong work ethic.
Our mission is to prepare learners not only for progression into employment, further study or the equine and animal industries, but to equip them with the wider skills, behaviours and mindset they need to thrive in life and work.
