Rider Code of Conduct

I understand that riding has inherent risk and horses may react unpredictably on occasions. I may fall off and could be injured. I accept that risk.

  • I understand that instructions are given for my safety and agree to follow instructions given by staff and instructors.

  • I understand that wearing an appropriate riding hat (and body protector if chosen) may reduce injury severity and agree to wear a hat whenever riding, leading or grooming.

  • I understand the riding school will make decisions based on information I give them and agree to always be honest about my abilities, riding experience, accidents, and any medical conditions.

  • I understand children are at particular risk around horses and agree to supervise them when not being instructed.

  • I understand the riding school may refuse my request to ride for safety or operational reasons.

  • I understand that competing carries enhanced risk. If I participate, it is my responsibility to ensure I am capable of riding the course and any jumps. If in doubt, I will not enter.
